Power House project (Art Jam)

In 2011, I was asked to join the Estacada Arts Alliance for an art jam at Three Lynx Power house. About 12 other artist of all sorts converged on a structure made of steel, concrete and glass. We spent the day there, painting, taking photos and feeling the atmosphere. There are two parts to Three Lynx. There is the housing complex and the power house it's self.

The houses were built in the early 20th century and still sparsely furnished. This image kept coming to me. A man lies in bed, he is not truly at rest however. At any moment he could be called to work. PGE houses him. He dreams of chains and gears, water and electricity.

This is the first print I have ever sold! I was so happy! An employee of PGE bought it at the opening. I wanted to share this image today because yesterday, I was able to attend my 3rd Powerhouse Art Jam!
